As a silk artist, Jan creates one of a kind sumptuous silk paintings inspired by the legends and myths of Avalon’s sacred landscape and her childhood playground on the Gouer in south Wales.
Images of Glastonbury Tor, the Chalice Well’s Vesica Pisces and various angelic winged beings colour her work with a mystical feel. If it is possible to capture a feeling and translate it into art, Jan has done just this.
Jan’s work is instantly recognizable. Swirling shades of pinks, lilacs, blues and greens melt and merge into delicate forms. Accented and defined with glittering silver and gold. Her elegant and feminine art pieces are incorporated into decorative, soft finishings, such as pillows, wall hangings and stretched over canvas and frames.
Jan’s art work can also been seen displayed throughout Berachah house, a beautiful B&B located on the slopes of Glastonbury Tor.
